Watchman Nee, or Ni Tuosheng (Chinese: 倪柝声; pinyin: Ní Tuòshēng; November 4, – May 30, ), was a church leader and Christian teacher who. PDF Book 1 Latent Power of the Soul by Watchman NEE PDF Book 2 The Overcoming Life by Watchman NEE PDF Book 3 The-Life-That-Wins. Watchman Nee has written the most insightful books on true spirituality. It should be noted that his volumes below were converted to PDF format for complete.

Books on Central Messages The Lord burdened and commissioned Watchman Nee with a specific testimony of Christ in His crucifixion, resurrection, ascension, return, and kingdom. His ministry, therefore, was focused on Christ's death and resurrection for the producing of the church in life to experience the victory of Christ that His kingdom might be ushered in.

For this reason, he considered messages on these matters as the central messages. His burden to hold the overcomer conferences and to publish The Present Testimony was to present such central messages.

He also translated books in this same category into Chinese. All the books in the other categories mentioned in the first part of this chapter were intended by him to prepare the believers to apprehend these central messages, which were mainly contained in the following twenty-two books: The Details of Spiritual Cultivation original English title: The Christian Life and Warfare published in June This book was the initial step to writing The Spiritual Man.

The Spiritual Man Published in three volumes in the fall of This book was not only the central one but also the greatest one among Brother Nee's writings. It covers the following main points: 1 the three parts of man—spirit, soul, and body; 2 the distinction between soul and spirit; 3 the fleshly Christian; 4 the soulish believer; 5 the subjective aspect of the cross and the work of the Holy Spirit; 6 the spiritual man; and 7 the spiritual warfare.

After publishing two editions of The Spiritual Man, Watchman Nee realized that many of his readers became introspective. He also felt that the book was too perfectly written and too detailed. For these reasons he decided not to publish further editions.

This was especially true after when he saw that spiritual warfare was not an individual matter but a corporate one. He told me that his view of spiritual warfare in The Spiritual Man was based mainly upon the writings and experience of Evan Roberts and Jessie Penn-Lewis. Roberts and Penn-Lewis saw only the individual aspect of spiritual warfare, and thus they presented it as a difficult matter. But over ten years after the publication of The Spiritual Man, Watchman began to realize that spiritual warfare, according to Ephesians 6, must be carried out by the Body of Christ in a corporate way.

For this reason he made a final decision to discontinue the publication of this book. However, having later realized in Taiwan that with the exception of the chapter on spiritual warfare, this book could be quite helpful to believers in the matter of spiritual life, we decided to reprint it.

Anyone who reads this book should keep in mind the above remarks.

We work out what God works within us. Two Principles of Conduct Gen. These are the principle of life and the principle of right or wrong.

Christians should live by the first principle, not by the second. In Christ 1 Cor. We Christians are persons in Christ, enjoying redemption, life, peace, victory, and all spiritual blessings in Him.

God's Masterpiece Eph. Watchman Nee saw that the important thing regarding our work is not its quantity but its quality. The real work is the outflow of life.

Imprisonment In February of after much prayer and consideration, Watchman Nee made the decision to remain in Shanghai because of his burden for the churches, the co-workers, and the Lord's testimony on the mainland.

On the one hand, he fully trusted in the Lord's sovereignty; on the other hand, he realized the risk and was prepared to be sacrificed for the Lord's testimony.

In the spring of , he was arrested and imprisoned for his faith; and in the summer of , after a long trial, he was sentenced to fifteen years' imprisonment. He was, however, never released. During his imprisonment, only his wife was allowed an occasional visit; She passed away on November 7, His wife's death was a great sorrow, and it cut him off from any contact with the outside.

Not long after her death, on May 30, , Watchman Nee also came to the end of his pilgrimage on this earth and rested with Christ, whom he served at the cost of his life.

This is the greatest truth in the universe. I die because of my belief in Christ.

In that book Nee presents the simple biblical truth that man is composed of three parts - spirit and soul and body - as a central and necessary revelation for believers to progress in their spiritual life.

In The Economy of God Nee's closest and most trusted co-worker, Witness Lee, builds upon this foundation in order to unveil the central revelation of the Bible - that God wants to impart Himself into man for His full expression in the church.

In The Economy of God Lee clearly reveals the move of the Divine Trinity and gives believers practical ways to cooperate with Him for the fulfillment of His eternal plan. As believers, we should live according to the higher principle of life, rather than just the principle of right and wrong. When the life of God operates in us, the shining of this life brings us into a proper living and builds us up with other believers into a corporate expression of God, which is the church.
